2 Men Were Found Guilty of Conspiring The Kidnapping of Governor Gretchen Whitmer

Two Men Convicted

In a plot to kidnap the Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer in 2020, two of four men were convicted Friday.

Adam Fox and Barry Croft Jr. were also found guilty by the jury of conspiring for a weapon of Mass Destruction.

This was the second trial, after a jury failed to reach an unanimous verdict in April. Two men were also acquitted, while two others pleaded guilty and testified on behalf of the prosecutors.

Evidence suggests that a homemade explosive was used in training in September 2020. This happened about one month before the men were arrested.
